I had a really hard time making a list of reminders on how to keep from being emotionally abuse by a narcissist or a toxic person or family or anyone with a personality disorder that has abusive tactics. Don’t some people that have personality disorders have abusive tactics?
I’ve only been married to one healthy man and as soon as he realized how much I was abused in my life he divorced me. It showed in my behavior. I showed him that I have been a victim for years from an abusive mother. And I married him because I thought he was way better than my mother. Kinder and caring and he was but I was really abused as a child by my mother and my mother’s boyfriend molested me. Now at 53 I just want to be alone. No more relationships and my last one ended up being with a covert narcissist and I’ve had two children from another narcissist not sure which type he would be, but Flyinymonkeysdenied.com I’ve read about them all even my son having some of the behavior he got from his narcissistic dad but my son shows empathy at times my son does. He is 22 I’ll never know if he has NPD and I’ll never know that my his dad for sure has NPD. But all this abuse you talk about in your podcast Ive been abused in every way you’ve mentioned.
I also have been told repeatedly I am probably on the Autism Spectrum I am 53 and the doctor ruled out the Autism because I don’t meet the DSM -5 criteria! I have eye contact. But I am very much so a lot like Autism Spectrum humans. Ones I watch on YouTube that have it and my therapist felt strongly that I have High Functioning Autism and she has a daughter with Autism. My therapist is a LCSW.
Oh I also want to know if it’s just abusive people that have these tactics and not just Narcissists like if others with personality disorders can have use these abuse tactics?
Anyone can be abusive.
